A quoted amount may be a minimum spend on selected items, a fixed drinks package, a charge for the space or a combination of these. Those distinctions cannot be settled by looking at a price on social media. Ask for a written breakdown, the guest capacity and any service charges before sending money. Where a deposit is required, establish whether it counts towards the total and what the cancellation terms are.
Do not assume a deposit is refundable or transferable to another date. Event rules and venue policies can differ. If members of your group are booking travel separately, agree on the budget and the final headcount first. It is much easier to adjust plans before anyone has committed to a non-refundable reservation.
For a useful comparison, decide whether you want a meal beside the sea, a reserved bed by the pool or a music-led daytime event. Ask for the actual location of the bed or sofa, its permitted capacity and the package attached to that category. If the opening weekend is full, consider another date instead of buying a second option without checking cancellation terms. Where a deposit is required, clarify how it is credited towards the final balance and what happens if an event is rescheduled. Your booking should name the date, product and price; a photograph of a seating plan alone is not sufficient confirmation.
