Marbella Daybeds and VIP Sofas: A Booking Guide

Choosing a daybed or VIP sofa in Marbella involves more than comparing numbers on a seating plan. A bed beside the pool, a sofa close to the DJ and a quieter terrace may cost similar amounts yet feel completely different. The date, group size and products included can also affect what you actually pay.

This guide focuses on the practical differences between the beds and sofas at pool clubs such as Mogli The Key and Naô. It explains how to compare a genuine offer, plan for four, six or eight guests and avoid treating an old price list as confirmation for a future season.

Daybed or VIP sofa: what changes?

Daybeds are usually designed for lounging, often around a pool, whereas sofas can give a group a shared seating area with a different outlook on the music and surrounding tables. Neither is automatically the most exclusive option: position and the specific booking category matter more than the label.

Do not estimate capacity by counting cushions in a photograph. Ask how many people the venue authorises for that exact zone, whether visitors can join later and whether any additional guests must pay a supplement.

Mogli The Key: location shapes the atmosphere

Mogli describes double and triple Balinese beds as well as sofas distributed across different parts of its pool club. Some areas face the DJ booth, while others offer a more relaxed setting. If dancing is the priority, proximity to the music may suit you; if you want to talk, ask about quieter areas.

Mogli’s official site currently refers visitors to the 2027 season without announcing an opening date. Do not present a 2026 package as confirmed for next summer. The venue also states that sportswear and themed accessories are not allowed and recommends arriving by taxi because parking is limited.

Naô Pool Club: understand the booking category

Naô, in Nueva Andalucía, offers poolside reservations and publishes booking information for beds and VIP areas. The name of a category does not reveal its full conditions: check its maximum occupancy, what the advance payment covers, the arrival deadline and whether drinks or minimum spend are included.

The venue’s booking page also provides a channel for larger groups. If the party grows after your initial enquiry, ask for a new proposal rather than assuming extra people can use the same bed. Conditions may be different on special-event dates.

And what about beach clubs such as Playa Padre?

A beach club is a different environment from a pool club. At Playa Padre, the beach, restaurant and music are part of the experience; a beach bed does not necessarily offer the same setting as a poolside bed at Mogli or Naô. First decide whether you want the sea or the pool and what kind of music is scheduled.

Ask whether you are booking a restaurant table or a dedicated lounge area, and check how long you can occupy it. A restaurant reservation should never be described as including a sunbed unless the actual proposal says so.

Compare the final spend, not the headline price

A quotation may describe minimum consumption, a set package or a separate charge for a particular service. Request the date and event, exact zone, capacity, total amount, amount available for consumption, supplements and refund terms. Ask whether a deposit is deducted from the final bill.

A package priced for four people cannot simply be divided by eight if only four guests are admitted. The per-person cost is meaningful only when the party fits the authorised capacity and every extra charge has been included. Old seasonal prices are examples, not current offers.

Four, six or eight guests: choosing the right arrangement

Start with the confirmed group size, not the size you hope to reach later. A bed may suit four but require a larger category or supplement for six; larger parties might need more than one zone. Whether two separately booked beds sit together must be explicitly confirmed.

For birthdays and mixed groups, ask the venue to approve the full arrangement in writing. If everyone wants to stay together, this requirement can matter more than the smallest available price. Share one contact person and a realistic arrival time.

Dress code, arrival time and changes

A VIP booking does not remove admission rules. Check the age requirement for the event, identification, permitted clothing and accessories, and any latest arrival time. Policies can differ between daytime pool parties and nighttime clubs.

Weather can also affect outdoor plans, but cancellation or refund rights are determined by the applicable booking terms. Do not promise a refund, unlimited changes or all-day use of a bed without a written condition supporting it.

How to read a pool club seating plan

A pool club seating plan may show several daybed and sofa categories that seem almost identical at first glance. Begin by identifying the pool, DJ booth, main walkways and any quieter seating areas. Then establish which exact category is available for your chosen date. A bed beside the water creates a different experience from a sofa away from the music, even when the two locations look close together on the map.

Promotional photographs are useful for understanding a venue, but they are not evidence of how many people can book a particular space. The number of people visible in a photo may be greater than the official capacity of the bed. Nor does an image guarantee that the layout or furniture will remain unchanged in the following season. Ask for the actual zone name and clarify whether you choose a specific position or whether the venue makes the final allocation when you arrive.

If you are booking for a larger group, explain whether you need adjoining spaces. Separate purchases do not necessarily result in beds next to one another. Share all guests' ages, the number of attendees and the total budget before making payment. A realistic seating arrangement matters more than a plan that only appears to accommodate everyone.

Common mistakes when booking a daybed or sofa

The most common mistake is treating the price shown for a daybed as the complete cost of the day. Some packages separate the bed booking from additional food, drinks, service or minimum-spend requirements. Another mistake is assuming that extra guests can simply join later. Additional people may incur a supplement, require approval or exceed the permitted capacity of the area.

Arrival conditions are equally important. Certain venues set a strict deadline for claiming a prepaid bed, and a late arrival may affect your booking. Allow enough time to travel from your accommodation, especially on busy summer afternoons. Check the dress code before packing themed outfits, matching accessories or sportswear: one pool club's rules do not establish what another will admit.

Finally, read the cancellation and bad-weather terms that apply to your actual reservation. Rain does not create a universal right to an immediate refund. When comparing Mogli and Naô, avoid relying on documents from a previous season as though they were the current contract. Contact Discotecas MDZ with your date, group size, ages, preferred type of space and overall budget. That information makes it possible to request a proposal for the right category rather than guessing from last summer's prices.

Request a bed or sofa through Discotecas MDZ

Tell us your date, number of guests, ages, preferred venue or atmosphere and total budget. If you already know the name of a bed or sofa category, include it. We can then compare paid booking options that may be arranged for that event.

You will receive conditions for the actual date rather than a blanket price list. An enquiry is not a reservation, and availability is not secured until it is specifically confirmed.

Frequently asked questions

Do Marbella daybeds include drinks?

It depends on the package. Confirm whether the amount is minimum spend, an included bottle package or a separate service fee.

Can we add friends later?

Only if the venue confirms permission, the new capacity and any additional charge.

How many people fit on one bed?

Capacity is defined by the exact booking category and venue, not by photographs.

What happens if the weather changes?

Consult the refund and rescheduling terms attached to your booking.

Can we use the bed all day?

Ask for the service hours and latest arrival time; there is no universal rule.

Planning a group night out?

Check paid booking options for your date. Availability, entry conditions, and minimum spend are confirmed based on party size and event.
